Jackie's Biography

 

 

Jacqueline (Jackie) is a Tampa, Florida native. She attended Tampa Catholic and Thomas Jefferson High School, where she ended up graduating in 1982. She received her formal education at Hillsborough Community College.

 

In 1999, Jackie opened her own accounting and paralegal firm, Accounting & Beyond, in her native West Tampa. Over the past ten years she has helped numerous entrepreneurs set-up their businesses and help guide them through the administrative and regulatory problems that face all small businesses. She also has assisted individuals with tax and legal matters, paying great attention to small details.

 

Jackie is devoted to helping make her community a better place to live. She has volunteered her time helping the Trinity School for Children account for contributions to their building fund and served on the Executive Board of Directors of both The Tampa Bay Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as chairwoman and as Treasurer of The Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc. (2003-2006).

 

Jackie established the Tampa Bay Hispanic Business Partners in 2000, where she gathered serious-minded men and women to focus every week on qualified business referrals.  She served as Region VI Regional Director for the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Region VI, consist of Puerto Rico on up to Tennessee. Recently in 2009, she has served as President of the Tampa Latin Chamber.

 

Due to her continuous involvement in the community and successful business Rojas-Quiñones was the recipient of the Tampa Bay Hispanic Business Woman of Year 2000 and in 2009 received the Latina Movers‘n Shakers Award from Latin Times Magazine.
